Eastbourne is the base, but the round takes in most of the towns and villages within easy reach of it too.
The bulk of our work happens here, from the apartment blocks lining Sovereign Harbour and the seafront promenade to the residential roads through Old Town, Hampden Park and Langney. Salt air off the Channel and a steady autumn leaf-drop from the town's older tree-lined streets are the two things that keep our diary full.
Two of the places we're back at most often. Polegate's newer estates and Willingdon's older housing stock both need attention, just at slightly different points in the year — we've got a good feel for which by now.
Sitting right under the Downs means these two see more leaf and debris fall than almost anywhere else on our round, particularly once autumn turns properly. An extra visit a year is common here compared with more sheltered spots.
A real mix of housing in Hailsham — older cottages with narrower guttering alongside newer estates on standard uPVC. We cover both, one-off or on a schedule.
These villages between Eastbourne and Hailsham get much the same coastal weather as the town itself, with a good number of bungalows and older cottages that we visit regularly.
Further into the Downs and Wealden countryside, moss growth is the bigger issue rather than salt or leaf-fall alone. We schedule a fair few customers here for a spring and an autumn visit rather than just one.
